Why not grab a friend or two and book in to get your hands dirty and learn some new skills!

We went on a buying trip to Europe in January and were excited to take delivery of the container this week!

Here are are a few pics of the stock we’ve unpacked so far.

We have currently closed the Emporium (located in the West Wing at DJB)

What a Week it’s been @ Dirty Janes!

What an exciting week we’ve had at Dirty Janes starting with yet another successful Bush Auction which pulled a strong crowd of treasure hunters keen to pick up a few vintage finds, despite the chilly Highlands conditions. Our next Bush Auction will be held on Sunday 13th September, one for the diary!

Early in the week a new container of furniture arrived which we’ve been busy unwrapping and moving into the Emporium. Be sure to drop in this week and see all the wonderful new pieces on offer, they never last long!

The highlight of the week would most definitely have to be the glorious snow Highlanders were greeted with on Friday morning, reported to be the heaviest falls in 30 years! The Potting Shed was a picture and looked as though everything had been dusted with icing sugar. A clever Snowman positioned on the roundabout at Bong Bong & Banyette Street directed morning shoppers to Dirty Janes and one little shopper kept herself warm with a fluffy find from the market!

Stallholders have again been busy keeping their market stalls well stocked with fabulous pieces, here are a few of our favourite suitcase finds. Have a great week and stay warm. DJ.

June Tourism After Dark at Dirty Janes

We were excited to host the June ‘Tourism Southern Highlands – Tourism After Hours’ evening last week and I’m sure all the member’s who attended would agree it was a fabulous evening.

We were excited to have so many local business owners from the area make the effort to come along on a chilly evening to enjoy a drink and some supper, whilst learning more about what Dirty Janes Emporium & Antique Market has to offer.

I think it came as a surprise to many that Dirty Janes is not just the main shop on Bong Bong Street, but also offers a massive warehouse space behind this, housing over 60 individual stallholders selling a huge range of wares which are constantly evolving.

We were also excited to announce that we will be opening a café in the market soon, making Dirty Janes Antique Market the perfect place to catch up with friends for a coffee and some shopping as well! More details coming soon…..

Many thanks to Steve, Trish and all the team at Southern Highlands Tourism who do a wonderful job organising these evenings for their members. We look forward to hosting another one in the future. DJ
