NEW LOOK – CHRISTMAS IN STORE – TRADING HOURS

A NEW LOOK FOR DIRTY JANES BOWRAL

Renovations at Dirty Janes Bowral are finally complete after a very busy 12 months. Thank you for your patience throughout this process. We’re sure you’ll agree the transformation from a year ago is breathtaking, making what was a tired ‘Acre’ of buildings now a fabulous must visit shopping destination in the Southern Highlands.

In recent weeks the courtyard has reopened between Dirty Janes and The Acre, once again creatively transformed by Maureen & Chris from The Potting Shed. Bursting with blooms, topiary, garden ware and more, it is a beautiful oasis that will bring a smile to your face and sense of calm as you wander through out.

Author, Journalist & Style Expert Melissa Penfold believes Dirty Janes is ‘The Most Popular Vintage Shop in Australia’  Wow, it doesn’t get better than that now does it? Thank you Melissa!  Click Here to read her recent post and enjoy imagery of Melissa’s stunning Southern Highlands home, showcasing various pieces she has purchased from us in the past.

Melissa also featured The Inspired Paddock (located in store) naming it the ‘Happiest Shop in the Southern Highlands!’  Stocking unique handmade wares, rustic wreaths, board games, antlers and plenty of fabulous Christmas gift ideas, be sure to take a look when you’re next in store!picmonkey-collage-2CHRISTMAS GIFTS IDEAS IN STORE.

Changes to Entrance Doors at Dirty Janes Bowral

PicMonkey Collage444

Due to the recent renovations at Dirty Janes Bowral (DJB) and the front/corner building also undergoing a major makeover (which is currently dressed in scaffolding) there will be some temporary disruptions to where you gain entry to DJB.

Entry is now only accessible via the main front doors in the car park.  These front doors are being replaced today (Wednesday 20th April) so access will be through the fire doors which are all located in our car park until the main doors are in place.

The side entrance off Banyette Street which is located in the courtyard, home to The Potting Shed and which also gives direct access to Suzie Anderson Home, will be closed until renovations are complete to the front/corner building.  Please note, The Potting Shed & Suzie Anderson Home are open for business and will not cease trading during this time. You can access both spaces through DJB. They are located in the ‘East Market’.

What a Week it’s been @ Dirty Janes!

What an exciting week we’ve had at Dirty Janes starting with yet another successful Bush Auction which pulled a strong crowd of treasure hunters keen to pick up a few vintage finds, despite the chilly Highlands conditions. Our next Bush Auction will be held on Sunday 13th September, one for the diary!

Early in the week a new container of furniture arrived which we’ve been busy unwrapping and moving into the Emporium. Be sure to drop in this week and see all the wonderful new pieces on offer, they never last long!

The highlight of the week would most definitely have to be the glorious snow Highlanders were greeted with on Friday morning, reported to be the heaviest falls in 30 years! The Potting Shed was a picture and looked as though everything had been dusted with icing sugar. A clever Snowman positioned on the roundabout at Bong Bong & Banyette Street directed morning shoppers to Dirty Janes and one little shopper kept herself warm with a fluffy find from the market!

Stallholders have again been busy keeping their market stalls well stocked with fabulous pieces, here are a few of our favourite suitcase finds. Have a great week and stay warm. DJ.
