Changes to Entrance Doors at Dirty Janes Bowral

PicMonkey Collage444

Due to the recent renovations at Dirty Janes Bowral (DJB) and the front/corner building also undergoing a major makeover (which is currently dressed in scaffolding) there will be some temporary disruptions to where you gain entry to DJB.

Entry is now only accessible via the main front doors in the car park.  These front doors are being replaced today (Wednesday 20th April) so access will be through the fire doors which are all located in our car park until the main doors are in place.

The side entrance off Banyette Street which is located in the courtyard, home to The Potting Shed and which also gives direct access to Suzie Anderson Home, will be closed until renovations are complete to the front/corner building.  Please note, The Potting Shed & Suzie Anderson Home are open for business and will not cease trading during this time. You can access both spaces through DJB. They are located in the ‘East Market’.

We would like to once again thank you for your patience whilst the renovations are being carried out and encourage you to let friends and family know Dirty Janes Bowral is NOT CLOSED.

We look forward to seeing you soon! DJ.

What a Week it’s been @ Dirty Janes!

What an exciting week we’ve had at Dirty Janes starting with yet another successful Bush Auction which pulled a strong crowd of treasure hunters keen to pick up a few vintage finds, despite the chilly Highlands conditions. Our next Bush Auction will be held on Sunday 13th September, one for the diary!

Early in the week a new container of furniture arrived which we’ve been busy unwrapping and moving into the Emporium. Be sure to drop in this week and see all the wonderful new pieces on offer, they never last long!

The highlight of the week would most definitely have to be the glorious snow Highlanders were greeted with on Friday morning, reported to be the heaviest falls in 30 years! The Potting Shed was a picture and looked as though everything had been dusted with icing sugar. A clever Snowman positioned on the roundabout at Bong Bong & Banyette Street directed morning shoppers to Dirty Janes and one little shopper kept herself warm with a fluffy find from the market!

Stallholders have again been busy keeping their market stalls well stocked with fabulous pieces, here are a few of our favourite suitcase finds. Have a great week and stay warm. DJ.

Bush Auction Fun @ Dirty Janes

It was a perfect autumn day for Dirty Janes Bush Auction last Sunday. An eager crowd made up of many Sydneysiders gathered in the car park ready to ‘have a go’ come auction time, keen to purchase something unique from the vast inventory of vintage items on offer including chandeliers, rustic furniture, fireplaces, paintings, lamps and more.

People travel from far and wide for our auctions, including Vivienne the caravan who rolled into town last weekend. Going by their Instagram posts, everyone had a great time (including Charlotte the Italian greyhound) and Vivienne headed home Sunday night loaded with plenty of auction wins!

The next Bush Auction will transform our car park again on Sunday 12th July, so make sure you’ve marked it in your diary! Have a great week! DJ.
