Run by the dynamic Father Daughter duo Athol Salter and Jane Crowley, Dirty Janes Bowral offers a unique shopping experience in the heart of the Southern Highlands.
Athol & Janes first retail venture was The Shed, located in the nearby town of Mittagong. Trading for over 20 years, The Shed was a must visit for locals, tourists and a favoured haunt for decorators in need of a special piece for that design job.
In December 2009 The Shed closed it’s doors and Dirty Janes Bowral was born in the heart of Bowral. Expanding the business to larger premises which housed a main showroom known as The Emporium in the front corner building, as well as an impressive warehouse space located behind the Emporium known as The Market.
The original Dirty Janes Bowral site underwent a major renovation in 2016, transforming the facade and internal fit out of the front building on the corner of Bong Bong & Banyette Street (formally The Emporium) into what is now a landmark building, known as The Acre.
Dirty Janes Bowral moved took ownership of the Market located at the rear of the corner building and extended this warehouse space by a third, transforming the facade, car park, internal layout and size of the Tea Salon located in Dirty Janes Bowral.
